I give thanks and praises to the Most High Jah for he gives all I need
I give thanks for the rain and I give thanks for the pain
for in that darkness I grow
every thing for a reason
nothing as it seems
doesn't mean I'm not loved
doesn't mean no one cares
I just have lessons to learn
to fulfill my destiny

I give thanks and praises to the Most high Jah
I give thanks in celebration, prosperity of thought
for I am sustained
I am loved, I am cherished
and in the light I shine
every person a blessing
bringing sharing what they've learned
doesn't mean I have to experience it firsthand
I just have to respect every person's space
giving them the time they need to grow
and observe it

I give thanks and praises for my idren
for they reflect the lessons I teach
they grow and learn
they teach and project
doesn't mean I am their controller
although they do as I say
if I do it right
later they will do it Jah Mighty's way
I raise them and hold them close
so they can keep I in their hearts
when they go away

I give Thanks and Praises
and praises I get
all is a circle, cycle of life
we get what we give
we reap what we sow
and in all that we know
