A small vestige of hope that has remained with me is the rising dissent in Congress, and today, to my pleasure, I read that Congress has denied the $700 billion price tag Bush set forth for future generations to come. Although it still invokes no confidence in the outcome of the economy in my opinion, it at least shows us that Congress, despite being pushed aside in the decision for Bush to engage in not one, but two wars, has finally stood some ground and denied Bush's and the Council On Foreign Relation's corrupt incentives from being fulfilled. It was a terrible idea for Bush to actually think Congress will buy his story. His story of course being that Bush can save the economy by accruing even MORE debt to buy more banks' and corporations' "toxic assets." They tacked on the word "toxic" to the assets merely as a media spin to make them seem worthless and poisonous, although those assets: estates, property, etc..., were they to be bought out, would've gone into PRIVATE and INTERNATIONAL hands. The $700 billion, which would be "printed out of thin air", used to buy these assets would of course trickle back to society in the form of INFLATION, which just means WE'RE paying for the assets in the form of an invisible tax (inflation) so that certain very wealthy, very powerful, and in some cases non-American, individuals can own it, which in my and every other rational person's mind is TREASON. Indeed it was a terrible story given by Bush and a wonderful thing it was batted down. However I'm afraid, as Bush and others before him have shown, that he will resort to corruption and secrecy to get what he, the international banking cartel, and the Council on Foreign Relations wants.
